OSHA 10 General Industry Training
Purpose
OSHA recommends this training as an orientation to occupational safety and health.
Audience
This course is for general industry workers Workers are provided with general awareness about recognizing and preventing hazards commonly found in the workplace.
Course Objectives
- Slip, Trip and Fall Hazard Protection
- Fixed and Portable Ladder Safety
- Fire Prevention, Protection and Emergency Egress Safety
- Dangers of Electrical Hazards
- Using and Choosing PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
- Causes and Prevention of MSD and RMD Injuries
- Workers’ Rights to Know the Chemical Makeup of Materials Found in Their Workplace
- Difference Between Chronic and Acute Health Ailments
- Hazards of Spray Finishing, Dipping/Coating, Combustible Liquids and Compressed Gases
- Dangers of Unguarded Equipment
Time
10 hours over minimum of 2 days
Cost
$1700 for 3 to 10 students / $170 per person over 10
Max Students: 20
All course costs include training materials and meals (breakfast, lunch and snacks) during the training day
Cancellation Policy
Training is non-refundable, if you are not able to attend a training after a PO has been submitted, you will have the option to reschedule at a later date when class is provided again. Classes can be substituted for another class of equal amount.
Location
All courses are taught at the Houston Campus in the brand new, state-of-the-art PTU® (Process Training Unit). Parking is complimentary.
