Competent Person Scaffold Training
Purpose
General Safety Training Course that provides the OSHA standards as they apply to scaffolding.
Description
The Competent person scaffold training gives specific details about individual types of scaffolds and provides the safety training needed to protect yourself and others from hazards while working with scaffolding.

- Hoist Capacity, Standard Designs and Constructions
- Platform/Plank Requirements
- Varying types of Scaffolds and where they are used
- Scaffolding Placement Distance
- Protection Against Falling Objects
- Inspection Before, During, and After use
- Testing of Equipment
- Handrails, Top rails, Stair Rails, and Guardrails
- Approved Spacing, Clearance, and Access points
- Prohibited Equipment and setups, Proper moving of Scaffolding and more

Cost
$1700 for up to 10 students / $170 per person over 10
Max Students: 20
All course costs include training materials and meals (breakfast, lunch and snacks) during the training day
Cancellation Policy
Training is non-refundable, if you are not able to attend a training after a PO has been submitted, you will have the option to reschedule at a later date when class is provided again. Classes can be substituted for another class of equal amount.
Location
All courses are taught at the Houston Campus in the brand new, state-of-the-art PTU® (Process Training Unit). Parking is complimentary.
