Icon by PAC – Cloud Point Analyzer
Cloud Point’s enhanced performance uses sophisticated proprietary technologies more reliable than those used in traditional cloud point analyzers. Typically used to measure diesel fuel, Cloud Point’s analysis measurement is achieved through a unique low mass-measuring cell, non-contact light source and proprietary vacuum insulation system detector for outstanding thermal performance without the need for an external cooler.
Two versions are available including a very low temperature “Cryo” version which uses technology used in the space industry for ultra-low cooling. In most cases, external chiller systems are not required, thus making the system ultra-reliable.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
The Icon Scientific Cloud Point Analyzer is an on-line process analyzer designed to accurately determine the cloud point of petroleum products in real time—critical for maintaining fuel quality, especially in colder climates.
ASTM-Equivalent Measurement:
Fully automated measurement that replicates ASTM D2500 and D5773 methods.
Accurate and Repeatable:
Uses a Peltier-cooled jacket and optical detection to precisely identify the clouding point.
Rapid Analysis:
Delivers fast cycle times (typically less than 15 minutes per test) for near real-time process control.
Communication:
Supports analog and digital outputs, including Modbus and HART, for seamless DCS integration.
