Purpose

This is a 2-day hands-on course where students will be exposed to a variety of flow instruments used in the field.

Course Description

This class will start by providing Instrument Tech’s and Engineers with a brief section on understanding Interface (i.e. Oil/Water) level applications. Following the introduction the students will have a deep dive on measuring interface level with differential pressure (DP) and guided wave radar.

Course Objectives:

  • Different types of liquid interfaces in industry
  • Discuss different types of interface technologies
  • Liquid interface calculations using differential pressure
  • Liquid interface calibrations using guided wave radar
