SUMMARY:
Vector Controls and Automation Group, a leading manufacturing representative, distributor, and valued partner for application solutions, is seeking an experienced Analytical Applications Engineer that can provide expert judgment and analysis, resolve highly complex technical issues and conduct advanced research. This position not only requires technical knowledge, but also the development of relationships with clients, suppliers, and Vector colleagues. The Analytical Applications Engineer will report to the Project Team Leader.

This position not only requires technical knowledge, but also the development of relationships with clients, suppliers, and Vector colleagues. The Analytical Applications Engineer will report to the Project Team Leader.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partner with customers and outside sales engineers to understand customer application needs and solve or recommend solutions for complex issues and problems
- Work with Project Coordinator to support proposal development and with other Vector teams to understand complete opportunity requirements
- Collaborate with analyzer manufacturers to determine the correct analyzer configuration for the application and to price the recommended analyzer configurations
- Handle project and task management and reporting as necessary, developing presentations, and technical reports to be presented to management, clients, and colleagues as requested
- Update and research recommendations for product and system improvements and contribute to development of policies, procedures, and standards
- Assist in the creation, review, and submittal of technical support documentation and review specification details and make analyzer recommendations
- Utilize company software programs for quoting, order entry, and financial tracking purposes
QUALIFICATIONS & OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (or relevant field)
- 4+ Years’ Experience in Analytical Instrumentation
- Excellent analytical skills and creative problem-solving skills for complex issues
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
- Strong detail orientation, multi-tasking skills, time management and organizational skills
- Proficient in using MS Office, including Excel and PowerPoint
